LAQT (L.A. for Los Angeles or Larry A which happens to be my initials, QT being the standard abbreviation for Quartet) is an ensemble assembled to perform specifically improvised music with no boundaries or guideposts. Nothing discussed beforehand, i.e. “how fast? what key?”
We just start playing, no rules.
Everything captured was of that particular moment, so a form of group improvisation is exhibited, freeing up the players and of course, the music that occurred during these two nights.

All was recorded live- a Friday and Saturday night in June, 2006- using a single stereo microphone
No overdubs or edits, just the energy of the players and the notes played.
